2. What Phasewell is – and isn't

Phasewell is a diary for tracking your cycle and how you feel, and for seeing patterns in your own entries. The app is not a medical device, does not diagnose and does not replace medical or psychological care. Predictions such as the heads-up are based only on your past entries and can be wrong.

In a crisis: If you are thinking about hurting yourself, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, US, free, 24/7) or your local emergency number right away. The exercises in the app may help in the moment, but they are not treatment.

3. Free and Premium

• Logging, all your days, your letter and plan, "Breathe for a minute", "Listen to the sea", the crisis line, reminders, export, app lock and "Let someone know" are free.
• Premium adds: the answers in "Your cycle", the heads-up, the doctor report, more than three own factors, the exercises other than breathing and the sea, and the AI chat "Ask" (see section 4).
• Premium is available as a subscription (monthly or yearly) or as a one-time purchase. Prices are shown before you buy.
• There is no free trial. The price shown is charged when you buy. Before each yearly renewal we remind you three days ahead, if you allow notifications.
• Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel in your Apple Account settings (Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions) or in the app under "Manage subscription".
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Refunds are requested from Apple.
• The one-time purchase unlocks Premium permanently and does not renew.
• What is free today will not be moved behind the subscription later.

4. AI chat "Ask"

• In the "Ask" tab, an AI answers your questions about your own entries. The chat is optional and starts only after your explicit consent in the app. What is sent is described in the Privacy Policy.
• You may use the chat only if you are 16 or older, or older if the age of digital consent in your country is higher.
• Answers are generated automatically by an AI and can be wrong. They are not medical or psychological advice, do not diagnose and give no recommendations on medication or doses. For anything about your health or medication, ask your doctor or pharmacist. In a crisis, call the crisis line shown in the app, call or text 988 (US), or call your local emergency number.
• Premium (monthly, yearly or one-time purchase) includes 150 messages per calendar month. Unused messages expire at the end of the month and do not carry over.
• You can also buy "150 Chat Messages" as a one-time in-app purchase. Purchased messages don't expire and are used only after the month's messages are used up. They work only together with Premium.
• Purchased messages are linked through RevenueCat to the anonymous ID of your app installation and your Apple Account. "Restore purchases" restores Premium, but not always purchased messages, for example if that ID changes. Since we have no account and no data about you, we cannot recover them any other way.
• We work to keep the chat running reliably but cannot guarantee that it is always available. It may be unable to answer for a while, for example during maintenance, outages at the AI provider or high demand. A message that got no answer is not counted.
• The chat is meant for your personal use. In case of automated or abusive use (for example mass requests or attempts to get around the safety rules), we may limit use.

5. License

You receive a simple, non-transferable right to use the app for personal purposes. The app's images, texts and audio may not be published or resold.

6. Liability

We are fully liable for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence, we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations and limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. Liability under product liability law remains unaffected.

7. Apple

Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) also applies. Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app or its content.

8. Final provisions

German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live remain unaffected. We do not take part in dispute resolution before a consumer arbitration board.
